General Services provides quality, timely, reliable and cost-effective support services and ensures a work environment that is healthy, safe, and well-maintained. Services include: Design & Construction, Lease & Spacing, Capitol Complex Maintenance and Mail Services.
Our mission is to facilitate a procurement process that provides timely, cost-effective, high-quality goods & services through cooperative and proactive purchasing practices. This includes administration of State of Iowa Purchasing Card Program, DAS Fleet Services, Print and Procurement
The State Accounting Enterprise (SAE) is committed to promoting the well being of Iowans by providing efficient and effective services and resources so all outreaching sState departments can better serve citizens of the state. Services include: Centralized payroll, I/3, Offset program, State Financial Reports and Travel & Relocation.
The State Historical Museum houses more than 80,000 artifacts, of which about 1,500 objects are on display at any given time. More objects from the collection are on display in the State Capitol and on loan to other museums in Iowa. The Museum offers a variety of exhibitions, collections, tours, student field trips and unique programs throughout the year.
The State Library of Iowa actively champions libraries. The two roles of the agency are to improve library services in Iowa and deliver specialized information services to state government and Iowans.
